OmahaBIKES Monthly Meeting This Tuesday!

It's that time again! The next OmahaBikes monthly meeting will be on Tuesday, June 8 at 11am. We'll be gathering at the Courtyard by Marriott on S. 67th in Aksarben Village. (It is #3 on the map here.) Note: no call in available for this meeting; once we get the lay of the land at the new location, we will figure out how best to provide this for the future.

Bikes can be locked to the patio fence on the east (back) side of the building, or out front. The 15/55 MAT bus can get you to 67th & Center, just a short distance from the location.

OmahaBIKES meetings are open to the public.  So if you have an interest in the future of transportation cycling in Omaha we would love to have you there.

  1. Not trying to stir up trouble but is there any way to have these meetings sometime other than middle of a work day in the "middle" of the week? I would like to come to a meeting but can't get out of work. Just a query.

  2. I have to agree with Sean here. Most people work through the week. Perhaps moving it to the weekend? Might increase attendance.

  3. Most people who attend, work during the day but have flexibility over lunch hour or only stay for part of the meeting.

Sean, Dan would let me clock out of the shop while I took lunch and represented Bike Masters. Maybe Treven will give the green light to have you at the table representing the Bike Way. For time contraints, you may have to borrow his car to make it viable.

IMO, if the meeting was moved to late weekdays or weekends, there would be less attendance.

One can read through the meeting minutes and make comment on the blog. Another option is to get with someone who attended the meeting to discuss items of interest.

  4. Let's chat about this at the meeting. Maybe we have a Handlebar Happy Hour that corresponds with our monthly meeting dates so that people can get an update?

  5. No leave it as is, this will attract the homeless, bums and bike thieves, at least you'll be able to finger print them.
